Summary
Rekor is seeking a skilled proposal writer to collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposal content in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with prior experience in local, state, and federal public sector writing preferred.
Role and Responsibilities (Proposals)
- Help produce relevant proposal content (to include product and service descriptions, company core capabilities/competencies, past performance/project examples, management and staffing plans, staff biographies and resumes) using clear, concise language to translate complex ideas into understandable concepts.
- Ensure that proposals are compliant with RFx requirements as they relate to formatting/organizational standards, evaluation factors, etc.
- Maintain and update proposal content library
- Communicate with individuals across various departments to collect information needed in proposals
- Maintain consistent style and tone in writing, ensure technical accuracy, and adhere to standards under tight deadlines
- Provide input to the team on the writing processes can improve to enhance quality and productivity
- Support the development of other materials that may be used by the proposal team
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements (Proposals)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years’ industry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills)
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience supporting multiple proposals for the public sector (local, state and federal government)
- Experience working with hardware and software engineering teams to design and help refine content
- Experience writing about emerging and advanced technology
