Position Summary

As Director, Technical Account Management for Transportation Solutions, this role transforms our customers into raving fans and industry advocates by ensuring they fully comprehend and maximize the value of our products and technologies through seamless implementations, providing post-sale engagement, and translating that into revenue capture, retention, and expansion across the entire Rekor portfolio

The Contribution:

  • Provide industry strategic, visionary thought leadership to advance our transportation management business, driving our market share growth in this segment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key Architecture and Engineering (A&E) firms & partners
  • Educate and advise A&E partners of Rekor’s transportation management and traffic services AI technology solutions as a value proposition and differentiator in the market
  • Assess and quantify the market sector and key client expansion potential
  • Champion for key account opportunities, working to represent their concerns, sharing intelligence information within our company leadership, Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams
  • Collaborative engagement with multiple internal sales and operations teams
  • Maintain and enhance key relationships with State DOT senior contacts
  • Ensure large transportation projects are successfully implemented and internally supported operationally so that upsell and cross-sell opportunities materialize.
  • Participate and support Rekor sales teams as a transportation engineer technical lead
  • Leverage a strong understanding and knowledge of this market, trends and direction; sharing intelligence and market research opportunities with Rekor leadership
  • Represent Rekor as thought leader participating at key transportation-related business events and conferences

You bring to the organization the following competencies:

Leader with 10 + years strategic progressive leadership experience in Transportation Management and Engineering strongly preferred

  • Broad technical experience in traffic management systems
  • Proven experience driving revenue growth with State DOT customers
  • Strong at technical goal setting and project management with actionable success metrics.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and influential decision-making experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse audiences across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior-level team and sales
  • Demonstrated collaboration, ability to influence decision makers, relationship builder, outstanding business ethics, and proven negotiation skills.

  • Travel requirement : 50% domestic
