Position Summary
As Systems Engineer, you will support the design, deployment, validation, and optimization of Rekor’s intelligent roadway systems, ensuring customers receive accurate, reliable data and high-performing solutions through system monitoring, field support, and technical problem resolution.
As Systems Engineer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Performing QA/QC checks to validate system performance and data integrity across DAAS, POC, and production environments
• Monitoring deployed sites to ensure high-quality, continuous data collection
• Investigating and troubleshooting system, sensor, or connectivity issues
• Supporting installations and commissioning activities, including advanced technologies such as Virtual Weigh-In-Motion (WIM)
• Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions for system performance issues
• Collaborating with Technical Architects and cross-functional teams on solution design and deployment
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, drawings, and schematics
• Providing technical support to internal stakeholders and customers

You bring to the organization the following:
• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Experience – Typically 2–5+ years in systems engineering, technical support, ITS, or related technical roles
• Behavioral Competencies – Analytical thinking, problem solving, accountability, adaptability, collaboration, and customer focus
• Technical Expertise –
– Systems monitoring & diagnostics
– QA/QC & data validation
– Hardware/software integration
– Field support & troubleshooting
– Intelligent Transportation Systems (preferred)
– Virtual WIM / sensor technologies (preferred)
• In-Depth Knowledge Of – System performance analysis, incident resolution, and root cause investigation
• Strong Skills In – Communication, technical documentation, and cross-functional coordination
• Analysis Of – Operational data, system health metrics, and performance trends
• Tools – Proficiency with MS Office Suite and engineering/design tools
• Geo – [Insert location or Hybrid/Remote structure]
• Travel Requirement – Up to 60% domestic travel
