We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing Finance team in our Teaneck, NJ office. This is a fully in-office position, ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys driving both accuracy and innovation in financial operations. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing our company’s accounting processes related to inventory, fixed assets, and cost of revenue, helping shape strategic decisions and optimize processes as we continue to scale.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records for balance sheet and expenses with an emphasis on fixed assets, inventory, Contract Manufacturer (“CM”) liabilities and cost of revenue (“COR”).
  • Ensure timely and accurate accounting for all fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation in accordance with company policy and GAAP/IFRS.
  • Review and reconcile inventory balances between sub-ledgers, ERP, and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Oversee complex accounting areas such as capitalization, manufacturing variances, cost allocations, and accrued expenses related to COR and CM AP.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports including fixed asset rollforward schedules, inventory aging, cost variance analysis, inventory turnover, and cost of revenue breakdowns.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed audit support for inventory, fixed assets, and COR accounts.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure alignment between operational activities and financial reporting accuracy.
  • Lead or assist in physical inventory counts and fixed asset verifications, reconciling results to the ERP and recording adjustments as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain controls and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness for key financial statement areas.
  • Continuously identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fixed asset, inventory, and COR accounting processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with CMs as the point person and ensure timely and accurate payments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in perpetual inventory and cost accounting
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution industries
  • Strong experience with NetSuite systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong business partnership skills, especially with Operations teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Ideally, we’re looking for:

  • Experience transitioning from periodic inventory accounting to perpetual inventory accounting
  • Background in high-growth environments or with high-complexity capital equipment hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and innovation

Compensation:

UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the New Jersey State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. The annual base salary range for this position is $110K-$135K. In addition, this position is also eligible for Bonus.
