We are looking for an Operational Excellence Manager to join the Operations Performance team in Teaneck, NJ. This role will be responsible for structuring and optimizing operational processes while ensuring seamless integration with company systems. The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for structuring and optimizing operational processes while ensuring alignment with ERP, CRM, PLM and other company systems. This role focuses on driving process efficiency, standardization, and integration across operations, leveraging data-driven decision-making and best practices to enhance operational performance.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
Process Analysis and Optimization:
- Evaluate current operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop improvement strategies to enhance productivity and scalability.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
System Integration and Alignment:
- Structure and align operational processes with ERP, CRM, PLM, and other company systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, IT, and system administrators to enhance system capabilities and resolve integration challenges.
Implementation of Best Practices:
- Lead initiatives to standardize workflows and ensure consistent application of best practices across the organization.
- Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key processes.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate insightful reports.
- Provide actionable insights to management based on trend analysis and performance data.
Project Leadership:
- Manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to implement new processes and system enhancements.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
- Conduct RCA for identified operational issues, develop corrective and preventive actions, and ensure their implementation for sustained improvement.
- Develop monitoring mechanisms to prevent recurrence of identified issues.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Empower teams to proactively identify and address inefficiencies within their workflows.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, Supply Chain and R&D, to align improvement efforts with business goals.
- Act as a liaison between operations and technology teams to ensure smooth adoption of system enhancements.
Innovation and Change Management:
- Act as a change agent to drive innovation and support the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure successful implementation of process and system improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in process engineering, operations management, change management, project/program management or systems integration roles.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, CRM, and PLM systems and their applications in operational processes.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication and change management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus if you have:
- Certification in Six Sigma, PMP, or other relevant process improvement frameworks. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with a passion for driving operational excellence through process engineering and system optimization.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
