We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Operations team. This role is critical in driving operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, implementing solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Director Quality and Performance, the Continuous Improvement Specialist will analyze workflows, enhance processes, and ensure alignment with company goals while collaborating across departments.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- Process Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate current operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Implementation of Best Practices: Lead initiatives to standardize workflows and ensure consistent application of best practices across the organization.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Project Leadership: Manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct RCA for identified issues, develop corrective and preventive actions, and ensure follow-through for sustained improvement.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to employees to promote a culture of continuous improvement and empower teams to identify and address inefficiencies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, and Supply Chain, to align improvement efforts with business goals.
- Innovation and Change Management: Act as a change agent to drive innovation and support the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a continuous improvement or similar role within a production or multidisciplinary company.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with the capacity to use data to inform decisions and measure success.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in process mapping, statistical analysis tools, and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in an accessible manner.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on results and attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
