Description

As the Head of Marketing Communications, you will be responsible for planning and executing the global events strategy, with a strong focus on logistics, cost management, and supplier negotiations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of events that align with the company’s goals, while also driving efficiencies and optimizing budgets.

Job Responsibilities:

Event Logistics & Production:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of event logistics for conferences, trade shows, experiential events, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Ensure the highest standard of event production from planning through to execution, managing all logistical details including vendor coordination, venue selection, and on-site operations.

Supplier Negotiation & Cost Management:

  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best possible rates and terms, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce event-related costs while maintaining or improving the quality of deliverables.
  • Monitor and manage event budgets, ensuring all activities are within financial constraints and deliver strong ROI.

Event Attendance & Execution:

  • Attend a significant number of events to oversee execution, troubleshoot any issues on-site, and ensure alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure all event materials, presentations, and messaging are consistent and effective.

Demand Generation & Lead Management:

  • Drive lead generation efforts through meticulously planned events, webinars, and other initiatives, focusing on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales and success teams to maximize lead generation from events, and ensure follow-up processes are in place.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Liaise with PR agencies and consultants to define and execute an external communications strategy around events.
  • Coordinate joint press events and media opportunities with partners, ensuring seamless execution and maximum exposure.
  • Support the Executive Leadership Team with tactical messaging and external presentations for all major events.

Event Planning & Strategy:

  • Own and manage the organization of the UVeye dealer summit, including both online and offline meetings, ensuring all logistical aspects are covered.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive communication plans for company-wide programs and initiatives.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in similar roles at a global company, with a strong emphasis on event logistics and cost management.
  • Proven track record of planning, producing, and managing B2B conferences and events, particularly in the automotive and/or AI industries.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and optimize costs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • English at a native level; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with web-based communication platforms, tools, and technologies.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent travel required to attend and oversee events.
