Description

Upstream is looking for a highly motivated student to join our Product Management team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical product management, working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Upstream products protect millions of vehicles worldwide and help customers leverage their connected vehicle data to improve customer experience and increase brand loyalty.

This role is part-time and based in Herzliya, Israel.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Work closely with other Product team members and engineering teams to deliver value to customers and users with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Deliver PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • Explore market challenges, the ecosystem, and competition.
  • Work with engineering to establish a dashboard to monitor product usage and use it to derive insights that will shape product development priorities.
  • Update and maintain product documentation.

Requirements

  • BSc student in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems Engineering or any other relevant degree – a must.
  • At least two years until graduation.
  • Availability for at least three working days a week – from the office.
  • Experience as a product manager – an advantage.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled and passionate about working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good intuition for UX and design aesthetics.
  • People person – a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Fast learner – able to quickly grasp new concepts and adapt.
  • Problem solver – proactive, creative, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with wireframes – familiarity with tools like Figma, Balsamiq, or similar – an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented – ability to catch inconsistencies and ensure precision in execution.
  • Experience in automotive products – an advantage.
