Description

Upstream is looking for a talented hands-on and experienced SRE / OPS Engineer to join Upstream’s operational team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of production environments, monitoring them in real-time, and proactively identifying service interruptions

You will develop and maintain infrastructure tools to improve operational efficiency and ensure the scalability and performance of our systems.

This role is full-time and is Boston / Detroit USA based.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and operate a high scale Software as a Service (SaaS) solution
  • Implement and operate cloud infrastructure in AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Responsible for Upstream and our customers infrastructure and monitoring
  • Rollout processes for new functionality introduced to the cloud infrastructure by the team
  • Cloud and Product security
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Supporting the company’s core technology and engineering systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SRE / DevOps Engineer experience
  • Experienced with Kubernetes, Gitops, Docker in Production systems is a must
  • Experienced with Linux Systems - high level of scripting in Bash / Python
  • Experienced with implementation in a SaaS/PaaS architecture
  • 3+ years of experience in AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Understanding of Microservices concepts
  • Experienced with Helm, Kafka, Logstash, Spark/HDFS
  • Experienced with monitoring systems (Preferably DataDog)
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving capabilities
  • Experienced with MySQL / PostgreSQL / RedShift / Presto
  • Motivated, service oriented, fast learner and independent
  • A team player, excellent collaboration skills
  • Experience with OpenShift operators
