Description
Upstream is looking for a talented Project Manager to join the CSM Group and focus on supporting our executive team in Japan in building and monitoring customer engagement, long-term strategic projects and deployments.
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the critical aspects of the customer lifecycle, ensuring the successful completion of projects and that all project objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
The Project Manager is expected to provide direction, oversight, and supervision across all customer-related tasks performed by various Upstream teams globally as well as external strategic and technology partners.
This role is full time and is Tokyo, Japan based.
Responsibilities
- Help our executive team in Japan in building and developing projects by closely working with various Upstream teams and external partners to ensure the successful completion of customer projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, implementation plans, and ingoing risk mitigation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant customer stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic and technology partners; and assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
- Report project progress and results and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project plans.
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
Requirements
- Fluent or native level in Japanese and business level in English.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment.
- Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects within specified timelines.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems, feature request management, and deployment processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage project timelines.
- Proven capability of proactively coordinating with team members across the globe to ensure timely task completion.
- Team player and strong interpersonal communications skills. Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical counterparts.
- Experience in the following fields - Cybersecurity / Data Analytics - preferred.
- Experience in the Automotive and Insurance industries – preferred.
- Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) deployment - preferred.
