Upstream is looking for a talented Engineering Team Leader to lead the development of our Automotive-focused Cyber threat intelligence product. As an Engineering Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team consisting of both front-end and back-end developers who will design, develop and deliver Cyber Threat Intelligence SaaS product.

The position is full-time and is based in Herzliya, Israel

• Set a strategic engineering direction to Cyber Threat Intelligence SaaS product, drive planning cycles, and help us keep our priorities in order.
• Communicate technical and product decisions to the relevant team members, resolve bottlenecks, and keep our development machine humming.
• Work side-by-side with our product managers, cybersecurity analysts and researchers.
• Manage a team of high-performing engineers.
• Provide regular performance feedback, hold one-on-ones and provide career development support to your team.
• Actively participate in our recruiting process, helping us to grow our engineering team.
• Hands-on development - up to 80%.

• 3+ years of experience as a team leader of productive, high-performing engineering teams.
• 7+ years of back-end experience building web applications.
• Back-end development in Kotlin- Must.
• Strong track record of delivering high-quality software products, while leading teams.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration rather than pure authority.
• Ability to make key decisions in a timely manner, while simultaneously weighing the needs and input of multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interested in partnering with product, design, and various stakeholders across the company to understand how they operate and how to enhance offerings.
• Experience with Kotlin, React, Typescript would help you hit the ground running.
