Description

TriEye is the pioneer of SWIR sensing technology. Built on cutting-edge nanophotonics research, TriEye develops breakthrough CMOS-based SWIR sensors, compact SWIR lasers, and complete electro-optical systems. Our integrated approach unlocks performance levels previously achievable only with expensive, niche technologies.

By combining advanced semiconductor design, proprietary illumination sources, and system-level innovation, TriEye is transforming what’s possible in sensing across automotive, defense, robotics, industrial, and emerging consumer applications. We are redefining the industry with scalable, cost-effective products that bring SWIR capabilities to mass-market adoption.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our mechanical team, designing our cutting-edge products and being involved with a variety of aspects.

Your Day to Day

  • Responsibility for an end-to-end mechanical and optomechanical design, development, and manufacturing of an electro-optical sensing system, incorporating laser sources, sensors, optics, electrical hardware, and thermal modules
  • Full ownership of the mechanical solution, including design, analysis, reviews, drawings, manufacturing, assembly support, tests, and experiments
  • Design jigs and develop tools to support different R&D efforts
  • Collaborate with various R&D disciplines (including Electro-Optics, Photonics, Electronics, and System engineering) to jointly develop a product that aligns with system requirements

Requirements

  • B.Sc or M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in Mechanical design
  • Significant understanding of high-precision optomechanical engineering principles, including manufacturing methods, testing, and assembly
  • Proven experience in electronics packaging, wiring, and thermal management, with In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles for products, jigs, and tools
  • Knowledge and experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for both systems design and analysis, with SolidWorks preferred
  • Preferred skills:
  • Former working experience with PDM
  • Experience in mechanical design while considering environmental conditions and vibrations
  • Former background in thermal design, analysis, and simulations of systems using FEA software such as Ansys or similar
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
