Professional Experience Required:

  • 2–4 years of experience in hardware integration, system validation, compliance engineering, or similar hands-on roles.
  • Proven experience in bringing up new electro-mechanical systems: enclosures, embedded PCs, sensors, modems, power systems.
  • Solid understanding of validation protocols and QA practices for hardware platforms across development and production stages.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and environmental standards: CE, FCC, MIL-STD-810H, ISO 16750-3, ISO 26262, UN 38.3.
  • Experience writing and managing structured technical documentation (BOMs, part numbers, validation logs, compliance files).

  • Strong hands-on skills with electronics, wiring, testing equipment, and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Full professional English proficiency (verbal and written).

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with R&D and QA teams, serving as the operational lead for integrating new hardware into Ottopia’s core platforms.
  • Define and execute validation protocols for hardware onboarding into production and research environments.
  • Drive system-level compliance and certification efforts, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental standards.
  • Lead documentation, traceability, and technical conformity processes across hardware deliveries.
  • Manage regulatory alignment including functional validation, part numbering, and adherence to automotive-grade reliability standards.
  • Lead AI hardware integration initiatives, ensuring compute and sensing components meet both product and customer requirements.
  • Interface with suppliers, external labs, and certification bodies to execute testing plans, gather declarations, and resolve conformity issues.
  • Support customer-facing platform deliveries and field deployment readiness.

Advantageous:

  • Background in robotics, defense, automotive, or ruggedized hardware environments.
  • An academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Experience with reliability testing (vibration, thermal, ingress protection) or EMC lab testing.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Knowledge of RF integration, power isolation, or high-reliability computing enclosures.
