We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Material and Production Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and production processes while maintaining cost-effectiveness and meeting production targets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the logistics and management of purchase orders, ensuring a seamless supply chain and production operation.

Your Day to Day will include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive materials and production planning strategies to meet production targets and optimize efficiency
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials, considering quality and cost criteria
  • Oversee the entire logistics process, from supplier to production, ensuring that transportation, storage, and handling of materials are effectively managed
  • work closely with the production, quality control, and procurement teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and schedule production runs
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance the supply chain and production processes
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, production logs, and products
  • Analyze production data and generate reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement in cost, efficiency, and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues related to materials quality, supply chain disruptions, or production delays
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness
  • Stay informed of industry trends and standards to implement best practices

You will be a good fit if you have:

  • Proven experience in material and production planning, logistics, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory management practices
  • Familiarity with production planning software and tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
