NoTraffic is an emerging startup in the smart mobility field, the technology introduced by the company involves complex hardware and software. The hardware group handles all R&D aspects of the hardware in products. Hardware group is part of R&D and collaborates with a few SW teams and an Engineering group.

This Position includes three main responsibilities:

  • Failure analysis of units failing in the field and in production
  • Test planning and execution for products in design phase and released products
  • Sustain engineering activities internal and with subcontractors

Your day to day will include:

  • Review on weekly basis all units returning from the field and production
  • Test and examine company products and systems returning from the field with reported failures
  • Prepare test setups to test units, assemble units for testing and connect supporting test equipment
  • Investigate failures and find the root cause of failure
  • Review electrical schematics of designs and prepare the relevant test setup to test electrical circuits
  • Define to SW engineer what are the utils needed to support testing
  • Prepare test setups for electrical testing and validation of systems during design phase and released products
  • Operate a variety of test equipment, including environmental chambers, power supplies, data loggers etc.
  • Prepare for EMC and electrical safety tests, execute tests in certification labs
  • Write test reports documents expressing clearly the test goals and results
  • Suggest engineering modifications and re-designs of existing electrical and mechanical systems
  • Define SOW for subcontractors (mechanical/electrical and manufacturing) and manage execution of the work with them
  • Conduct HW rework, small soldering and prepare for testing activities
  • Prepare clear RFQ documents for external services

  • Present root cause analysis process and results to R&D teams and supply chain
  • Prepare ECO documents to be executed by supply chain or external engineering services
  • Work with R&D/Embedded/Engineering and Production teams

You’d be a good fit if you have:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical engineering
  • Understanding of electrical circuits digital and discrete electronics
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in hardware testing component level and system level
  • Experience in root cause analysis of electrical systems
  • Very good knowledge and experience in PCBA testing
  • Knowledge of small DCDC power supply design
  • Experience in EMC tests immunity/emission per EU and US standards
  • Experience in testing of high speed/Analog/Digital design
  • Knowledge in serial interfaces design and test: I2C, USB2-3, SPI
  • Understanding of signal integrity concerns
  • Experience working with lab equipment, for ex. Scope, power sources, DMM’s
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Good computer skills, excellent office and cloud based tools skills
  • High skills in English, speaking and writing
  • Experience in testing electric and mechanical systems in reliability labs
  • Team player, capable of working in a team

  • Good communication skills in Hebrew and English
