Job Description

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to execute day-to-day financial activities, enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, and maintain accurate financial files and records to document transactions.

This position requires an understanding of a start-up’s financial needs and expectations, while protecting the company’s interests and supporting accurate and compliant financial operations.

Objectives and responsibilities

Principal objectives

· Bookkeeping certification Type 1-2 - Mandatory

· Bookkeeping certification Type 3 - Advantage

· Ability to work up to balance sheet - Advantage

· Experience with Priority ERP software - Advantage

· High level of English - reading, writing, and speaking - Mandatory

· Ability to work independently and accurately

· High attention to detail

· Import / export bookkeeping - Advantage

Key Responsibilities

· Vendor invoice processing and posting

· Bank and credit card reconciliations

· Reporting to authorities (VAT, income tax, National Insurance)

· Responsibility for ongoing financial operations

· Ensuring compliance with bookkeeping procedures and accounting policies

Terms of employment

Flexible scope of work - part-time or full-time.

(In a full-time position, the role may also include assistance with office administration).

Partial hybrid work is available only after a trial period and several months of full training.

Salary - according to the scope of the position and accepted market rates.

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.
