We are a cutting-edge startup developing advanced GPS protection and navigation resiliency solutions tailored to defend UAVs and other vehicles against GPS electronic warfare (EW) attacks. Our solutions enable secure and autonomous operations in challenging environments, positioning us as a leader in this emerging space.

Position Overview:

A lead algorithms architect (under CTO) with strong signal analysis experience, specializing in RF signals, preferably experienced in GNSS and capable of creating signal processing real time algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

Algorithm Design & Development:

  • Define, design and implement advanced algorithms for hardware systems, focusing on RF signal processing, machine learning, control systems, and real-time computation.
  • Develop algorithms optimizing HW performance, power consumption, and computational efficiency.
  • Prototype new algorithms, implement them using MATLAB and experiment with various approaches to solve complex problems on various HW and SW environments.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies in RF algorithms, GNSS, electronic warfare and machine learning from the industry and academy.
  • Conduct research to develop innovative algorithmic solutions to complex problems unique to GNSS signals and its protection from multiple threats.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and data scientists, providing technical guidance on algorithm design and implementation.
  • Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the algorithms align with product goals and timelines.

Testing and Validation:

  • Define test cases, benchmarks, and validation procedures ensuring performance and efficiency.
  • Document algorithm designs, testing procedures, and optimization strategies to facilitate communication with stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for the CTO and executive team, providing updates on algorithm development and milestones.

Requires:

Educational background:

  • Electronics Eng MSc or PhD, specializing in electromagnetic fields (or equivalent experience).

2. Experience:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in algorithm design and development for hardware systems, particularly in high-performance or embedded environments.
  • Strong signal analysis experience, specializing in RF signals, preferably experienced in GNSS and capable of creating signal processing real time algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction, particularly in optimizing algorithms for specific hardware platforms (e.g., FPGA, ASIC).
  • Experience with machine learning and data-driven algorithms is a plus.

3. Technical skills:

  • Proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB and/or Python, C++, for algorithm development and simulation.
  • Proven track record in signal processing, control theory, optimization and ML techniques.
  • Familiarity with hardware development environments, including simulation tools (e.g., Verilog, VHDL, or hardware emulation).

4. Problem-solving skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving ability, with a strong aptitude for identifying root causes and finding efficient solutions in complex systems.

5. Analytical & mathematical expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of advanced mathematical techniques, linear algebra, calculus, statistics, and optimization methods applied to hardware-related problems.

6. Collaboration and communication:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex algorithmic concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, particularly in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • High capability of multi-tasking and delivering under pressure.

7. Bonus skills:

  • Experience with real-time embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with hardware acceleration techniques (e.g., using GPUs or custom hardware).
  • Experience with system-level simulation tools and performance profiling.

Work is on-site in Caesarea (relevant applicants are between Tel Aviv and Haifa).
