About the Job
Ever wondered what an electric car, an MRI machine, and a robotic arm have in common? That's right – software. And that software needs to be secure.
Cybellum is a cybersecurity company specializing in keeping physical devices cyber secure. Companies like Audi, Jaguar, Danaher, Rolls Royce, and Mobileye use our Product Security Platform every day to ensure their products' software is safe from cyber risks.
We're seeking a visionary and experienced Lead product manager to lead our product team, strategy and execution, ensuring Cybellum remains at the forefront of product security innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead Product Team with Hands-On Approach: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, providing both strategic direction and day-to-day guidance on product initiatives. Be actively involved in writing user stories, managing product backlogs, and ensuring high-quality execution.
- Product Strategy and Execution: Work closely with the product team and R&D to define and execute a product strategy that aligns with company goals. Ensure that product development aligns with market needs, customer feedback, and technical capabilities.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure seamless product delivery and adoption. Act as a liaison between product, R&D, and other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Product Development Lifecycle: Lead the entire product lifecycle—from ideation through to delivery and ongoing optimization. Maintain a keen focus on user-centric design and iterative development.
- Mentorship and Development: Help grow junior product managers into senior leaders by providing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for skill development. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Customer-Centric Focus: Engage with customers and prospects to understand pain points and market needs. Ensure that the team integrates customer feedback into the product roadmap.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and analytics to drive product decisions, measure progress, and continuously improve product offerings.
- R&D Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D team to ensure that product requirements are well-defined and align with market trends, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the product team in cross-functional leadership meetings and external events, sharing insights on product strategy, vision, and market trends.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: 5-8 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role. Experience in a B2B or enterprise software environment is preferred.
- Hands-On Leadership: Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and support a growing team while staying deeply involved in the tactical aspects of product management.
- Strategic and Tactical Thinking: Ability to think strategically while also being able to roll up sleeves and dive into the tactical work when needed—such as writing user stories, collaborating on backlogs, and engaging with R&D teams.
- Customer-Centric: A deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, with a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-driven products.
- Data-Informed: Comfort with using data to drive decision-making and measure product success.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Startup Experience (Preferred): Experience working in a fast-paced, agile startup environment is a plus.
