We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Team Lead to play a key role in our platform group. This high-impact group serves as the strategic center, responsible for the infrastructure, platform, tools, and shared services that power our entire R&D organization.

As the Team Lead, you will combine hands-on technical excellence with strategic leadership, mentorship, and project execution oversight. You will own the technical roadmap, set the standards for operational excellence, and directly manage the team. Your mission is to ensure our R&D organization can work autonomously, reliably, and at peak velocity in a five-nines product.

You will be the primary partner for engineering leadership across the company, championing DevOps principles, platform adoption, and reliability best practices. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who thrives on building high-performing teams, setting a clear technical vision, and driving mission-critical outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Management:

    • Manage, mentor, and coach the team, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
    • Own the DevOps technical roadmap and prioritization roadmap, aligning goals with R&D strategy.
    • Lead the team in designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure.

Strategic Platform Development:

    • Define and enforce standards for IaC, observability, security, and cloud cost optimization.
    • Drive the evolution of our Kubernetes platform and production environments for scale, stability, and security.
    • Oversee the development of self-service tooling and automation to enable engineering teams' autonomy.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

    • Act as the key technical representative, collaborating with engineering leadership and security to define and deliver solutions.
    • Champion and drive the adoption of platform services and tooling across all R&D teams.
    • Lead infrastructure incident response and post-mortem processes, focusing on long-term stability improvements.

Experience & Technical Depth:

    • 6+ years in DevOps, including 2+ years in a leadership/Tech Lead role.
    • Deep expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure for mission-critical production workloads.
    • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform, focusing on governance and scale.
    • Strong background in designing and implementing complex CI/CD systems and developer tooling.
    • In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), including networking, security, and cost management.

Leadership & Communication:

    • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and hire talented engineers.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical vision to all audiences.
    • Strategic mindset, able to translate business needs into technical execution plans and manage delivery timelines.
    • Highly self-motivated and organized, able to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
