Job Description

Addionics is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Operations Line Manager to oversee and manage the production line at our ambitious battery factory. The Operations Line Manager will play a critical role in optimising production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering collaboration and maintaining high standards in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Production Line Management: Lead and supervise the production line, ensuring seamless and efficient manufacturing processes. Monitor production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures to maintain product quality, compliance with industry standards, and customer specifications. Implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously analyse production processes and identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency. Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations. Promote a culture of safety among the production team.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and mentor the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to streamline processes, resolve technical issues, and drive overall operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track production performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending actions for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the production line, encouraging employee engagement and idea generation.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Significant experience in operations management, preferably in battery manufacturing or related industries. Proven track record of managing production lines and meeting production targets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and lean manufacturing principles. Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and relay technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and time-management skills to prioritise tasks and manage resources efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment, adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
